Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Benneckenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper is looking to clinch but Benneckenstein is avoiding it.
Benneckenstein tries a head kick but it misses.
Benneckenstein closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Benneckenstein lands in his opponent's guard. Benneckenstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Benneckenstein drops back looking for a leg! Cooper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cooper manages to kick Benneckenstein off! Benneckenstein jumps back into Cooper's guard. Cooper tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benneckenstein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cooper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Benneckenstein feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Benneckenstein is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cooper is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cooper has escaped and now he's on top! Benneckenstein decides to stand back up. Cooper misses with a takedown attempt and Benneckenstein counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cooper's guard now. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Benneckenstein looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Benneckenstein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Benneckenstein postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cooper to stand up. Cooper tries to clinch and Benneckenstein moves into the clinch. Cooper is fighting off a takedown attempt but Benneckenstein is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cooper to the mat. Cooper regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cooper wants to control but Benneckenstein is having none of it. Benneckenstein tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Benneckenstein landing punches. Benneckenstein swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cooper is now in Benneckenstein's guard. A big mistake from Benneckenstein there, giving up the dominant position! Cooper stands up out of Benneckenstein's guard for a moment - Benneckenstein manages to land a nice upkick.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Benneckenstein showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Benneckenstein, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
