Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Ster (ranked 1624 p4p, 205 weight class) and Danny Mc Elroy (ranked 1463 p4p, 190 weight class). Ster comes to the cage accompanied by The Automatic - Monster. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mon Ster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Mc Elroy!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ster misses with a shot to the body
and Mc Elroy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mc Elroy checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ster has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Beta Fail in the buildup to the fight.
Ster throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mc Elroy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ster swings for the body but Mc Elroy moves out of range.

Mc Elroy clinches up with Ster and pushes him back against the cage.
Ster tries to throw a body punch but Mc Elroy avoids it by throwing Ster back against the cage.
Mc Elroy wants a takedown.

Ster breaks the clinch.
Mc Elroy shoots for a takedown but Ster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ster throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ster throws a sloppy head kick and Mc Elroy moves out of range easily.
Mc Elroy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Mc Elroy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ster on his heels. He'll look to pass Ster's guard now, I'm sure.
Ster wants to get back to his feet but Mc Elroy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ster has control of Mc Elroy's left arm, preventing Mc Elroy from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mc Elroy trying to control the position from guard on top but Ster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ster is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ster thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ster not doing much here.
Ster seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mc Elroy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Mc Elroy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Mc Elroy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mc Elroy wants to sweep here but Ster controlling him for the moment.
Ster sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ster trying to control the position from guard on top but Mc Elroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ster stays in close to Mc Elroy's body and controls the position.
Mc Elroy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mc Elroy has Ster pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mc Elroy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ster.
Ster throws a head kick that misses.
Ster takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mc Elroy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Danny Mc Elroy has been cut.
Mc Elroy throws a lazy right hand but Ster sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mc Elroy misses with a takedown attempt
and Ster counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mon Ster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Mc Elroy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ster throws a body kick that misses.
Mc Elroy darts in looking for a takedown but Ster gets double underhooks and turns Mc Elroy into the cage.
Ster throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Ster misses

and Mc Elroy counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ster!

Ster throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mc Elroy checks the leg kick.
Mc Elroy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
BOOM! Ster lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mc Elroy. Mc Elroy tries to recover but Ster is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mc Elroy lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mon Ster!
Mon Ster decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
