Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Odis Levine (ranked 8012 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky OCallaghan (ranked 5387 p4p, 0 weight class). Micky OCallaghan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Odis Levine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky OCallaghan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OCallaghan drives through and clinches with Levine against the cage.
Levine has had enough of the clinch but OCallaghan keeps him there for the moment.
OCallaghan trying to stall but Levine improves his position.

OCallaghan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
OCallaghan fails with the takedown.
Levine shoots in looking for a takedown but OCallaghan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Levine's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Levine is looking to clinch but OCallaghan is avoiding it.
OCallaghan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Levine moves out of range as OCallaghan strikes.
Levine is looking to counter with a body kick.
Levine scores with a shot to the body.
Levine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Levine is defended easily by OCallaghan.
OCallaghan throws a fast counter high kick but Levine manages to duck under it in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Levine's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Levine is looking to stand up but OCallaghan won't let him.
OCallaghan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
OCallaghan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Levine looking to sit in guard and control but OCallaghan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

OCallaghan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

OCallaghan postures up.
OCallaghan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
OCallaghan trying to control the position from guard on top but Levine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OCallaghan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Levine is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of OCallaghan, into his guard.

Levine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Levine stops OCallaghan from standing up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Levine tries to close the distance and clinch but OCallaghan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
OCallaghan follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Levine shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
OCallaghan tries to get to full guard but Levine has control of the leg.
OCallaghan keeps trying to improve his position.
OCallaghan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Levine slows the pace down in half guard.
OCallaghan is breathing heavily.

Levine tries to clinch there but OCallaghan circles away.
OCallaghan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
OCallaghan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Levine's waist but Levine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing OCallaghan off to one side.

and Levine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in OCallaghan's guard.

OCallaghan has his feet on Levine's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

OCallaghan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Levine tries to avoid it but OCallaghan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Levine to the ground. Levine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It appears Levine was looking to counter with a kick there.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Micky OCallaghan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well OCallaghan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
