4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kris Kiel! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiel lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Edward Wong has been cut. Wong scores with a takedown into Kiel's guard. Kiel being controlled here, momentarily. Wong won't allow Kiel to sweep him here. Wong trying to control the position from guard on top but Kiel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wong throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kiel wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Wong just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Kiel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kiel might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Kiel throws a right and a left that Wong avoids nicely. Kris Kiel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Edward Wong's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kiel throws a lazy right hand but Wong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Wong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kiel misses with a wild body shot. Wong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kiel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kiel tries to hold on but Wong postures up. Kiel tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiel is just holding on here. Wong manages to take his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wong has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Kiel is in real trouble here. Wong gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Kiel is tapping out! Wong wins by rear naked choke!
