Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Matvey Pavlov (ranked 1179 p4p, 143 weight class) and Brick Tamland (ranked 4400 p4p, 431 weight class). Pavlov comes to the cage accompanied by Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 7 losses; Matvey Pavlov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 31 wins and 13 losses; Brick Tamland! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice takedown defense from Tamland. No joy for Pavlov on that attempt. Let's hope that Tamland has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Pavlov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tamland wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
