Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Theodoros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Theodoros comes to the cage accompanied by When Worlds Collide. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randall Theodoros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Rain! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Theodoros dips down and scores with a jab to the body. No luck for Rain with that takedown attempt. Rain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Aaron Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rain shoots for a takedown but Theodoros saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Randall Theodoros has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Rain. Theodoros throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Aaron Rain has been cut. Rain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rain lands an elbow. Theodoros defending against the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Theodoros wants to get back to his feet. An elbow from Rain crashes against the mat.
Theodoros tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Theodoros is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rain decides to stand up, so the ref orders Theodoros to his feet. Theodoros looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Theodoros wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rain keeps working.

Rain wants to control but Theodoros is keeping busy.
Theodoros not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rain tries to roll over but Theodoros keeps him under control. Rain looks gassed! Theodoros decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Theodoros plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Theodoros counters with a left and a right that stings Rain. Rain on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Theodoros has managed to clinch.

Rain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Theodoros counters with a slapping leg kick. Rain has his takedown stuffed and Theodoros counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rain's knee momentarily. Theodoros drives through with a takedown into guard. Theodoros stands up and waves to Rain to follow him. Theodoros closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rain to the mat! Rain manages to get full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Theodoros lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain striking off his back but it's not causing Theodoros any problems. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Theodoros trying to control the position from guard on top but Rain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rain is trying to control the position but Theodoros postures up. Rain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Theodoros manages to get himself to full guard.
Theodoros might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rain scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Theodoros escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rain makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Theodoros can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rain controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Theodoros has his foot on Rain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rain works his way back into a safe position though. Theodoros has momentary wrist control but Rain slips an elbow through the middle. Rain wants to pass the guard but Theodoros is keeping the position. Rain works over Theodoros with some ground and pound from guard. Rain trying to control the position from guard on top but Theodoros is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rain stands up over Theodoros, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rain landing some decent shots from guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Theodoros tries to strike from the bottom.

Rain connects with a couple of short punches. Rain chips away with some ground and pound. Rain lands a couple of decent looking shots. Aaron Rain has got the better of the ground game so far. Rain makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rain preventing the sweep. Rain gets to his feet - Theodoros follows without any prompting. Rain just misses with a punch to the body.

That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Rain. Theodoros keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Theodoros counters with a head kick. Theodoros ducks under a wild hook from Rain. Rain fails with the takedown and Theodoros counters with a straight right hand. Rain has his takedown stuffed and Theodoros counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Theodoros. Rain will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rain escapes and gets back to his feet. Rain with a lazy takedown attempt and Theodoros decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rain's guard. Rain lands some strikes from the bottom. Rain striking off his back but it's not causing Theodoros any problems. Theodoros wants to pass the guard but Rain is keeping the position. Rain striking from the bottom here. Rain lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Theodoros! Rain has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Theodoros's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain looking to finish Theodoros with some ground and pound. This is bad for Theodoros! Rain postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Theodoros looks a forlorn figure.
Rain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Theodoros is looking to escape. Rain with the ground and pound from mount. Theodoros working to try and regain half guard.
Theodoros is bucking up trying to escape but Rain cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rain lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
BOOM! Rain connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Theodoros regains half guard. Rain working the head and body with strikes. Aaron Rain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Theodoros kicks Rain off and gets back to his feet. Theodoros misses with a jab, cross combination.
