Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patty Larkin (ranked 22779 p4p, 435 weight class) and Dvornoy Alkash (ranked 13407 p4p, 417 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Larkin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alkash is just riding it out for now. Larkin eventually gives up the hold.

Alkash is not content to let Larkin control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Alkash wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Larkin is now in half guard.
Larkin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Larkin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alkash sees it coming and defends easily.
Larkin looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Larkin is nestled in close to Alkash, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Larkin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Larkin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alkash swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Larkin throws an elbow that misses. Alkash uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Larkin's guard. Nice move by Alkash!

Alkash is sitting in close to Larkin's body. Larkin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alkash is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alkash is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Larkin.
