And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrel tries to clinch but Alomar is having none of it.
John Ferrel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ferrel moves into the clinch.
Alomar jumps guard but Ferrel stands there with Alomar around his waist. Alomar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Alomar drags the fight down to the ground.
Ferrel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alomar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ferrel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Alomar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferrel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferrel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ferrel is posturing up here but Alomar has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ferrel tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ferrel has to tap! Slick submission there by Alomar!
