The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trew is looking to land body kicks.

Vipunen tries to pull guard but Trew holds him up against the cage and eventually Vipunen drops back down to his feet.
Vipunen lands a body shot.
Vipunen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Trew's efforts to push away.
Vipunen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Vipunen lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Vipunen lands a hook that snaps the head of Trew backwards.
Trew blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Vipunen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vipunen lands a big head kick that sends Trew tumbling to the mat! Vipunen takes a step backwards and waves Trew back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Aapeli Vipunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters circling a little - Vipunen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Trew fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vipunen looks to score with a jab to the body but Trew is just out of range.
Vipunen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Trew takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Whack! Vipunen lands a heavy head kick that drops Trew. The ref tackles Vipunen to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Trew was done.

Aapeli Vipunen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
