Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Karate (ranked 2428 p4p, 107 weight class) and Talon Cape (ranked 1644 p4p, 78 weight class). Karate comes into the arena with Shot Em' blaring out of the sound system. Joey Karate could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Talon Cape's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joey Karate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Talon Cape! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karate just misses with a punch to the body.
Karate tries to clinch but Cape is having none of it. Karate really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cape feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Karate's calf. Cape fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Karate is out of range. Cape lands a slapping body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Cape. Those never looked like landing. Cape misses with a jab, cross combination.
Karate is looking to counter punch. Cape on the wrong end of a nice jab. Karate lands the left hand. Sloppy strikes from Cape. Those never looked like landing. An attempted straight right counter from Karate misses the target. Cape waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Karate. A leg kick checked by Karate. Karate moves out of range of the strikes. Cape fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Karate is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cape throws a leg kick that is checked and Karate counters with an inside leg kick. Cape misses with a low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cape misses with an uppercut. Cape avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Karate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cape.
Karate looks to land a right hand but Cape moved out of range. It seemed like Cape was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Cape misses with a few strikes there.
Karate darts in and clinches Cape up against the cage. Cape lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Karate lands with a right to the head. Karate is trying to maintain a safe position but Cape gets an underhook and turns Karate into the cage. Cape is stalling here.
Karate lands a nice elbow. Karate lands with a left to the head. A nice glancing elbow lands by Karate. Karate lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cape's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Cape using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Karate has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Talon Cape. Karate looks to score with a jab to the body but Cape is just out of range. Karate throws a body shot but no joy. Cape appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Cape connects with a high kick. Cape misses with a straight left. Cape uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Karate. Cape throws a head kick that misses. A head kick misses from Cape. An attempted straight right counter from Karate misses the target. Cape throws a big shot that misses. Cape throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cape uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Karate. Karate wants to clinch. Cape throws a sloppy head kick and Karate moves out of range easily. Karate cracks Cape with an open hand slap.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cape tries a head kick but it misses.
Cape lands a high kick!
Nice straight punches there by Karate. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Karate.
Cape is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Cape swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cape is still on wobbly legs! Can Karate finish him? Cape swings widly with a right hand
and Karate scores with a counter punch that sends Cape to the canvas! Karate smells blood - he's punishing Cape with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Cape has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
