Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Norton (ranked 24380 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Magnano (ranked 7137 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnano has chosen Cant be Broken as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Kyle Norton has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kyle Norton seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnano closes the distance and clinches.
Magnano pulls Norton into guard.
Magnano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Magnano has control of Norton's left arm, preventing Norton from doing any damage.
Norton with a flurry of punches that miss.
Norton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Magnano works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Norton trying to control the position from guard on top but Magnano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Norton won't allow Magnano to sweep him here.

Magnano lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Magnano prevents Norton from getting back to his feet.
Magnano trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Norton has a closed guard, preventing Magnano from standing up.
Magnano is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Norton keeping moving, preventing Magnano from controlling successfully.
Norton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Norton wants to get back to his feet but Magnano is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Magnano clinches up against the cage.
Magnano tries to pull guard but Norton forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Magnano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Norton avoids the head kick by Magnano.
Norton went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A combination from Magnano does no damage.

Magnano dives in and grabs Norton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norton pushes down on Magnano's head and hops out.
As Magnano looks to move away, Norton throws a big counter combo but Magnano just gets out of the way.
Magnano looks winded!
Norton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Magnano paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Norton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Norton clinches up with Magnano and pushes him back against the cage.
Norton connects with a knee to the head.
Norton drags the fight down to the ground.
Norton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Magnano sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Norton's guard.
Norton is trying to get back to full guard.

Magnano prevents Norton from standing back up.
Norton trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Magnano is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Norton wants to improve his position but Magnano is controlling well.
Magnano keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Norton misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Magnano is looking to stand up but Norton won't let him.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Magnano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Norton as he avoids it easily.
Norton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Norton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Magnano shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Norton is trying to defend but Magnano finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Norton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Magnano is breathing heavily.

Magnano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Norton tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Magnano manages to circle out of the way.
Joey Magnano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magnano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Norton thuds his shin into the meat of Magnano's side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Magnano closes the distance and clinches.
Norton breaks from the clinch.
Norton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Norton tries to clinch there but Magnano circles away.
Magnano is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Magnano looks to land a combination but Norton avoids it well.
Norton is looking to counter the offense by Magnano and move into the clinch.

Norton instigates a clinch.
Norton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Norton throws a right hand that Magnano ducks under and follows up with a left that Magnano also avoids with ease.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Norton lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Norton misses with a punch on the inside.
Magnano jumps guard but Norton stands there with Magnano around his waist. Magnano gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kyle Norton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Magnano.
Magnano drops down looking for an ankle pick but Norton pulls his leg out and moves away.
Norton lands a front kick.

Magnano has closed the distance and engaged Norton in a clinch.
Magnano is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Norton is defending well for now.

Norton using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Magnano has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Magnano jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Norton walks away with a smile on his face. Magnano gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Magnano throws a sloppy head kick and Norton moves out of range easily.
Norton is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Magnano.
Norton moves into the clinch.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Norton rushes Magnano and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Norton pulls guard successfully.
Magnano's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Norton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Norton wants to control the position but Magnano says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Norton is trying to stand up here but Magnano is controlling him well.
Magnano thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Norton pushes Magnano off looking to stand but Magnano dives back in and keeps control.

Norton is not content to let Magnano control the position.

Magnano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Magnano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Magnano wants to stand but Norton is controlling his arm.

Magnano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Norton keeps working.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Magnano tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Magnano has an Americana. Norton didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Magnano is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Magnano hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Joey Magnano!
A determined Joey Magnano didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
