Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danial Dennis (ranked 5357 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Lopez (ranked 7101 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Lopez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danial Dennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Lopez! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dennis drives through with a takedown into Lopez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lopez wriggles free and stands up. Dennis closes the distance and clinches. Lopez is stalling here.
Lopez lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Dennis manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lopez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lopez. Dennis prevents Lopez from improving position. Dennis is pushing Lopez's head away, looking to escape. Lopez manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lopez misses with the ground and pound. Dennis striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
You can see the frustration on Dennis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dennis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dennis explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Lopez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lopez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dennis trying to hold on to Lopez's head to control him but Lopez postures up.
Dennis has his hands clasped together around Lopez's back. He's all about the action. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lopez is trying to control. Dennis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dennis wants to control but Lopez is keeping busy.
Dennis tries to roll over but Lopez keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dennis trying to control from the bottom.
Dennis is looking to escape. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lopez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lopez throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dennis because Lopez loaded up on that one. Dennis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lopez looking to control and managing it successfully. Lopez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dennis looks a forlorn figure.
Lopez throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Dennis is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Lopez controlling his opponent. Dennis tries to lock up and control but Lopez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dennis is looking to improve his position but Lopez isn't that keen on the idea. Lopez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lopez punching from mount but Dennis doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dennis tries to hold on but Lopez pushes him away. Dennis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lopez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Lopez sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis wants to control but Lopez is having none of it. Dennis is breathing heavily. Lopez controlling his opponent. Dennis working to try and regain half guard.

Andrew Lopez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lopez moves into the clinch successfully.
Dennis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lopez clinches. Lopez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lopez tightens his grip and picks Dennis up, before dumping him to the ground. Dennis manages to land in guard. Lopez trying to control the position from guard on top but Dennis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lopez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are working up against the cage. Dennis manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Lopez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dennis blocks it with crossed arms. Lopez lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lopez jumps guard.
Dennis trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lopez is on top in guard.

Lopez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dennis, up you get! Dennis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lopez sprawls well initially but Dennis persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dennis is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lopez wants to control but Dennis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dennis missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lopez tries to roll over but Dennis keeps him under control. Lopez is defending against the submission attempts here by Dennis.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez wants to get back to his feet. Lopez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dennis is working for a submission of some sort.
Dennis seems to be working for a kimura but Lopez defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lopez trying to control but Dennis postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lopez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dennis pushes Lopez off but Lopez dives into side control.
Lopez decides to stand back up. Lopez steps back and let's Dennis get back to his feet. Lopez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lopez controlling the action here. Dennis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lopez is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Lopez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Dennis gets caught napping as Lopez dives in and scores a takedown. Dennis manages to retain guard. Dennis wants to get back to his feet but Lopez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lopez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dennis rushes Lopez and presses him up against the cage. Dennis misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lopez has hold of one of Dennis's legs. Dennis is fighting the takedown attempt but Lopez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lopez is standing up over Dennis. Dennis looks to escape but Lopez dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dennis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lopez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lopez tries to advance to mount but can't. Dennis is trying to buck Lopez off. Dennis can't do much from the bottom here. Lopez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dennis to his feet. Dennis clinches. Lopez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lopez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lopez has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lopez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dennis working a defensive guard here.
Lopez is stalling in the full guard. Dennis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dennis wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lopez is now in half guard. Dennis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lopez is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Lopez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lopez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dennis wants to control but Lopez postures up. Lopez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dennis will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Lopez gets to mount! Dennis was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Lopez thowing shots but they're missing. Lopez misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lopez wants to control the pace but Dennis is squirming around nicely. Lopez stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Lopez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dennis was covering up waiting for the punch and Lopez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dennis is wriggling around but Lopez manages to pass to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dennis is refusing to be controlled, as Lopez sits in half guard. Dennis makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Danial Dennis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrew Lopez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dennis shoots in and gets a takedown into Lopez's guard. Lopez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dennis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Lopez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lopez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
