The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dones moves to clinch but Salmi breaks away
enabling Salmi to counter with a crisp jab.

Dones instigates a clinch.
Dones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Salmi manages to break the clinch.
Dones shoots in looking for a takedown. Salmi tries to sprawl out of it but Dones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salmi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Salmi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bon Dones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dones moves out of range as Salmi strikes.
Salmi cracks Dones with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Bon Dones has been cut.
Dones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Salmi checks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dones misses with a kick to the body

and Salmi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Dones! Salmi lets Dones back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Dones is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Are you kidding me?! Salmi ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Dones clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
