Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaxson Kane (ranked 4642 p4p, 415 weight class) and Billy Quinn (ranked 2738 p4p, 281 weight class). Billy Quinn has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaxson Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Quinn! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kane. Billy Quinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quinn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kane counters with a single leg into guard. Quinn didn't expect that. Kane sitting in guard here, content to control. Kane stopping the sweep attempt from Quinn. Quinn keeps trying to improve his position. Quinn seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane tries to free his leg and advance position but Quinn is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Quinn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Quinn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kane but Kane pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kane feinted with a counter takedown. Nice straight punches there by Quinn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Quinn. Quinn connects with a body shot that sends Kane's belly button to the back. Quinn shoots in but Kane avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kane throws a big counter combination but Quinn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jaxson Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Quinn. Quinn slaps away a takedown attempt from Kane, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kane sets himself, and Quinn steps forward looking for the clinch! Kane avoids it this time. Quinn stuffs the takedown attempt from Kane. Kane gets slowly back to his feet. Quinn looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Quinn lands a slapping body shot.

It looks like Jaxson Kane has been cut. Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quinn as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quinn tries to avoid it but Kane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quinn to the ground. Quinn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Quinn misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Quinn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Quinn is keen to just control but Kane is a slippery customer. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Quinn lands a nice short elbow. Kane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Quinn is looking to stall here but Kane recovers full guard. Quinn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Quinn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinn trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quinn told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Quinn passes Kane's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Quinn not doing much here.
Kane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Quinn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Quinn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kane knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Quinn slips a nice elbow through Kane's hands, connecting with Kane's forehead. Quinn winds up and cracks Kane with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Billy Quinn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jaxson Kane's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Quinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Kane. Kane takes a shot right to the bread basket. A jab from Quinn does it's job there. Quinn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kane quickly recovers to half guard. Quinn is trying to control the action in half guard but Kane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Quinn missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Quinn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kane seems to have got his legs back now. Quinn landing strikes, looking to finish! Kane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Quinn after a bit of a struggle. Quinn stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Quinn works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Billy Quinn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kane blocks an elbow strike. Quinn lands an uppercut.

Quinn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Quinn prevents Kane from getting back to his feet. Quinn sitting in guard, not really doing much. Quinn's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jaxson Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Quinn circles away from the clinch attempt.
As Kane backs off Quinn throws a huge counter combo but Kane manages to avoid it all. A right-left combo lands from Quinn. Quinn closes the distance and clinches. Kane lands a takedown into guard.
Quinn pulls Kane in to control the position. Quinn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Quinn seems keen to control Kane's posture. Jaxson Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Quinn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Quinn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Quinn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
