The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montag misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Bailey drives through and clinches with Montag against the cage.
Montag blocks a body shot from Bailey.
Montag tries to break free but Bailey pushes him back against the cage.
Bailey misses with a body punch.
Bailey wants to get back to striking at distance but Montag won't allow it.
Montag lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Montag prevents a body shot from Bailey.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montag tries to circle away but Bailey has him pinned against the cage.
Montag tries to pull guard but Bailey forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bailey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bailey lands a front kick.
Montag avoids a kick to the body.

Bailey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bailey misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Bailey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Bailey prevents Montag from escaping the position.
Montag is trying to control Bailey's posture but Bailey avoids it.

Bailey is trying to get an arm triangle but Montag is defending well.
Montag tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bailey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Montag tries to improve his position but Bailey has taken his back! Bailey has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Montag tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bailey pushes Montag away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
