The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parreno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center. Parreno missing with a left hand there. Williams was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Williams has closed the distance and engaged Parreno in a clinch.
Williams pulls guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Williams is adopting a defensive guard. And that's the end of the fight! Eli Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
