The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonaiuti is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crusher's half guard. Crusher tries to roll over but Bonaiuti keeps him under control. Bonaiuti passes the guard and advances to mount! Bonaiuti sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bonaiuti can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Crusher is looking to escape. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Crusher has eaten all the pies! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bonaiuti is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bonaiuti fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crusher sprawls well initially but Bonaiuti persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Crusher wants to get back to full guard. Crusher wants to control but Bonaiuti is keeping busy.

Crusher seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Crusher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Crusher escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonaiuti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bonaiuti pushing down on Crusher's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bonaiuti has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Crusher wants to control but Bonaiuti is having none of it. Maurizio Bonaiuti overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Crusher is desperately trying to improve his position but Bonaiuti has a good base and remains in mount. Bonaiuti is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Crusher to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Crusher shrugs it off. Crusher can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonaiuti can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Crusher is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonaiuti is working for a guillotine from mount but Crusher frees his head quite easily.

He's concentrating on that move too much though and Bonaiuti pushes past his half guard into mount! Bonaiuti controlling the position easily from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Bonaiuti's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that's the end of the fight! Maurizio Bonaiuti showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bonaiuti, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
