Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emil Harrington (ranked 25112 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meruem Chimera (ranked 5076 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emil Harrington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Meruem Chimera! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harrington clinches up against the cage. Harrington pulls guard effortlessly. Chimera postures up in Harrington's guard and throws a big left but Harrington blocks it. Harrington utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Chimera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harrington is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harrington has escaped and now he's on top! Chimera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Harrington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harrington really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chimera looking for a sweep. Not yet Chimera, not yet. Harrington throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chimera works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chimera being controlled here, momentarily. Chimera is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harrington is controlling him. Harrington is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are working up against the cage. Chimera manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Chimera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chimera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chimera wants to clinch up but Harrington keeps it at a distance. Harrington clinches up with Chimera and pushes him back against the cage. Chimera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chimera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Harrington throws a head kick but Chimera moves out of range.
Chimera takes the fight into the clinch. Harrington pulls guard. Harrington has Chimera pulled in close to control his posture. Harrington escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chimera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Chimera stands up from Harrington's guard - Chimera perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrington has closed the distance and engaged Chimera in a clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Harrington's face as he tries to break the clinch. Chimera tries to land a knee to the head but Harrington blocks with his arms.
Chimera taking a breather. Chimera has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Harrington is trying to keep an underhook but Chimera manages to get the takedown into half guard. Harrington kicks off Chimera and gets to his feet. Chimera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Harrington takes the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chimera pulls guard successfully.
Chimera looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Harrington sitting in guard here, content to control. Harrington has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Harrington drops back looking for a leg! Chimera is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chimera manages to kick Harrington off! Harrington jumps back into Chimera's guard. Harrington slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emil Harrington dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Come on Chimera - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Harrington pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chimera wants to stand and escape but instead Harrington has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Harrington engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrington's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Chimera wants to get back to his feet but Harrington is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Harrington slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harrington seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chimera for as long as he can get away with. Harrington is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chimera can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Chimera wants to get back to his feet but Harrington is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harrington is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Harrington circles away from the clinch attempt.
Harrington wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Chimera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chimera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Harrington bucks up and tries to throw Chimera off but instead Chimera has got his back! Harrington trying to control the hands but Chimera won't let him. Harrington is trying to get back to his feet but Chimera has full control of the position and if anything, Harrington has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimera wants to control the position but Harrington frees himself and scrambles - Chimera manages to regain control in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Harrington takes the fight into the clinch. Chimera lands an elbow that stopped Harrington in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Emil Harrington has been cut. Chimera misses with a knee to the head. Chimera gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Harrington.
Chimera tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Harrington avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chimera has had enough of the clinch but Harrington keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Meruem Chimera will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Emil Harrington's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chimera uses from the top position. Chimera decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Harrington, up you get! Harrington gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Harrington prevents Chimera from getting back to his feet. Harrington is stalling in the full guard. Chimera is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Harrington seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Harrington shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chimera napping and manages to drive through into side control! Emil Harrington overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chimera takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Harrington is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chimera will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Harrington tries for a kimura but Chimera is defending well. Harrington is looking to take a break and control but Chimera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimera struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee asks Harrington politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Harrington prefers to stall for the moment though. Harrington wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chimera, who protects the arm well. Harrington taking a breather here. Chimera is trying to get back to his feet. Harrington moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chimera is looking for a sweep. Harrington slows the pace down. Harrington is trying to get an arm triangle but Chimera is defending well. Harrington will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Harrington controlling the position from side mount. Chimera is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
