Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Workman (ranked 24624 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie OCallaghan (ranked 5091 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sterling Workman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie OCallaghan! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Workman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. OCallaghan shoots in and gets a takedown into Workman's guard. Workman controlling the position. Workman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. OCallaghan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Workman has his hands on OCallaghan's head, controlling the position. OCallaghan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Workman is pulling down on OCallaghan's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Workman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. OCallaghan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Workman got a little sloppy there for a moment and OCallaghan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Workman has managed to get both his arms back between OCallaghan's legs - danger averted. OCallaghan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Workman manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. OCallaghan with a flurry of punches that miss. OCallaghan has gone for a leg lock! Workman slips out almost immediately though and dives into OCallaghan's guard. OCallaghan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Workman controls the pace. OCallaghan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

OCallaghan looking for a sweep. Not yet OCallaghan, not yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Workman controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie OCallaghan dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
OCallaghan shoots for a double leg takedown but Workman sprawls well. He's pushed OCallaghan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Workman wants to clinch up but OCallaghan keeps it at a distance. OCallaghan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Workman counters with a one-two to the body. Workman leaves OCallaghan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sterling Workman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie OCallaghan. OCallaghan throws a head kick that misses. OCallaghan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OCallaghan avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Workman rushes OCallaghan and presses him up against the cage. OCallaghan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Workman pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Workman clinches. Workman leaning his opponent against the cage. OCallaghan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Workman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. OCallaghan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Workman after a bit of a struggle. Workman wants to take the fight to the mat but OCallaghan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Workman is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Workman pulls guard. Workman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in OCallaghan's guard. Workman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. OCallaghan wants to sweep but no luck. OCallaghan working for a triangle but Workman defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. OCallaghan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Workman escapes and throws OCallaghan's legs to the side, diving into side control! A lull in the action here as Workman stalls from top position. OCallaghan is trying to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Workman trying to control the position but OCallaghan is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sterling Workman dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
OCallaghan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Workman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. OCallaghan eats them both and turns towards Workman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. OCallaghan fails with a takedown attempt. OCallaghan tries a quick counter leg kick but Workman is wise to it. Sterling Workman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OCallaghan gets the takedown into side control. Workman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but OCallaghan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. OCallaghan misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Workman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on OCallaghan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. OCallaghan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Sterling Workman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. OCallaghan stops Workman from getting back to his feet.
OCallaghan is thwarting Workman's attempts to control the position. Workman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because OCallaghan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Workman controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Workman trying to control but OCallaghan postures up.
OCallaghan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Workman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time OCallaghan. Workman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that OCallaghan can do to turn this around?

Workman is pressing down on OCallaghan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. OCallaghan preventing the sweep. OCallaghan throwing strikes from guard but Workman blocks nicely. OCallaghan prevents Workman from getting back to his feet. OCallaghan throws a strike but Workman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Workman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. OCallaghan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Workman manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OCallaghan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. OCallaghan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Workman is controlling OCallaghan's posture. OCallaghan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and OCallaghan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. OCallaghan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Workman is looking to stand up but OCallaghan isn't so interested in that idea. Workman trying to control the position here. OCallaghan throwing strikes from guard but Workman blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Workman has momentary wrist control but OCallaghan slips an elbow through the middle. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Workman holds on and takes a little breather. OCallaghan is looking to work some ground and pound but Workman has wrist control. Workman has control of OCallaghan's left arm, preventing OCallaghan from doing any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! OCallaghan prevents Workman from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. OCallaghan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Workman's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Charlie OCallaghan. I think OCallaghan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
