Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ravi Shankoli (ranked 1115 p4p, 169 weight class) and Pollo Tropical (ranked 1047 p4p, 162 weight class). Shankoli comes to the cage accompanied by Ravi Shankar - Om Shiva. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tropical just misses with a punch to the body.
Shankoli is looking to counter punch.
Tropical lands a lovely overhand right.
Tropical misses with a lunging right hand
and Shankoli counters with a two punch combo.
Tropical throws a poor cross that misses
and Shankoli counters with a huge left! Tropical is in big trouble! He's backing up but Shankoli isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tropical from any more damage. A dominating finish by Shankoli!

As Ravi Shankoli got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: His spirit was strong, but my intention was to crush him. Psychologically, as well as physically with my boxing. I knew that he would be a willing opponent, and he showed heart, but my soul wanted this more!
