Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russell Paulman (ranked 6155 p4p, 537 weight class) and Valentin Hadjiev (ranked 2746 p4p, 324 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Paulman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to War is my Love . This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Russell Paulman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Valentin Hadjiev! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paulman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Paulman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Paulman. Paulman clinches with his opponent.
A knee to the head by Paulman.
It looks like Valentin Hadjiev has been cut. Paulman scores with a hook to the body. Hadjiev changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Paulman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Left hook, right uppercut from Paulman. Paulman drives through and clinches with Hadjiev against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action! Paulman presses Hadjiev against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Paulman scores with a knee to the head.

Hadjiev is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Paulman cracks Hadjiev with a nice body shot. Paulman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Paulman lands a knee to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hadjiev looking for a takedown. Our sources have told us that Paulman has been working on his elbows in the gym. A short right from Paulman. Hadjiev wants to take the fight to the mat but Paulman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Paulman scores with an uppercut up the middle. Paulman unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hadjiev lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Paulman lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hadjiev backwards. Hadjiev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Paulman has Hadjiev pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Hadjiev is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Paulman - that's hurt Hadjiev badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hadjiev is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hadjiev doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Russell Paulman! Our winner, Russell Paulman, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
