Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Schultz (ranked 4607 p4p, 519 weight class) and Seth Sexton (ranked 4638 p4p, 523 weight class). Sexton has chosen I'm too sexy - Right Said Fred as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Seth Sexton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dave Schultz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Schultz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Sexton! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sexton has managed to clinch.
Schultz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sexton.
Schultz breaks from the clinch.
Sexton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Schultz circles away quickly and effectively. It looked like Schultz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Sexton misses with a double jab.

and Schultz counters with a one-two to the body. Sexton blocks a head kick by Schultz.
Schultz takes one to the side of the head.
Sexton goes for a double leg but Schultz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schultz continues to drive forward. Schultz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Sexton dives in and scores a takedown into Schultz's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Sexton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Schultz wants to sweep here but Sexton controlling him for the moment. Sexton trying to control but Schultz is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sexton won't allow Schultz to get back to his feet. Schultz keeping moving, preventing Sexton from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sexton throws a big elbow that misses. Sexton with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sexton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sexton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schultz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Schultz looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sexton puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sexton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sexton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schultz is looking for a sweep. Sexton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sexton drops an elbow to the side of Schultz's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Sexton.
Schultz is rocked! Schultz taking some punishment here, with Sexton in his half guard. Oh Schultz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sexton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sexton scores with a big shot! Schultz's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Schultz! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
