Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobbie Carroll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshua Wilson! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carroll shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Carroll is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wilson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wilson is staying active underneath Carroll, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carroll is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Carroll is thwarting Wilson's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carroll thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wilson's head. Carroll will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wilson is trying to maintain the position but Carroll is very close to passing his half guard. Wilson is positioning himself well to prevent Carroll advancing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carroll trying to control the pace. Carroll is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wilson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Wilson gets a clinch. Carroll tries for a takedown but Wilson manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carroll wants to take the fight to the mat but Wilson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wilson has control of Carroll's left arm, preventing Carroll from doing any damage. Carroll sitting in guard here, content to control. Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carroll doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carroll manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wilson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilson closes the distance and clinches up with Carroll, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes Carroll against the cage but Carroll circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carroll stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wilson instigates a clinch. Carroll is pressed up against the cage. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carroll down to the mat. Carroll avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wilson dives in for a single leg takedown but Carroll sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wilson looks winded! Wilson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wilson. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wilson has taken the fight to the clinch.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carroll wants it to stay on the feet. Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wilson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Carroll gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wilson.

Wilson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carroll can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wilson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wilson has his foot on Carroll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carroll works his way back into a safe position though. Carroll lands a couple of elbows. Carroll really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carroll avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carroll accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carroll leaves Wilson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bobbie Carroll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Wilson. Carroll throws an overhand right that lands on Wilson's shoulder, as Wilson tries to avoid the shot. Joshua Wilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carroll dives in for a single leg takedown but Wilson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wilson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Wilson misses with a hook. Carroll ducked under it nicely. Wilson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carroll sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wilson somewhat.

Joshua Wilson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Wilson throws a front kick aimed at Carroll's knee but Carroll avoids it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobbie Carroll showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
