Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steffen Baier (ranked 1700 p4p, 177 weight class) and Lewis Burwell Puller (ranked 2355 p4p, 224 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steffen Baier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Burwell Puller! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baier misses with a looping right. Donk. Baier catches Puller right on the button with a cross. Baier staying out of range there. Puller tries to bum rush Baier with a series of wild strikes but Baier uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Baier swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Puller. Baier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Puller but Puller pushes him off and we're back to square one. Puller walks into a jab. Puller throws a hook but Baier avoids it easily. Baier fails with the takedown. Puller throws a counter combo. Puller throws a series of strikes that have Baier backpedaling.
Baier tries to keep at a distance but Puller has taken the fight into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Puller scores with a nice hook to the head. Nice body punch from Puller. Puller tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puller lands a left hand.
Baier blocks a body shot from Puller. Puller struggles to land a body shot inside as Baier controls his hands.
Puller goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Puller lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Baier or not. Baier wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steffen Baier. That's going to take a lot out of him. A right handed body shot lands from Puller.
Baier is breathing heavily. Good body shot from Puller.
Puller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Puller feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Baier sprawling to the canvas! Baier rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Puller finish him?!
Baier is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Puller throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Baier appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Oh Baier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Baier throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Puller sees it coming and avoids it easily. Puller throws out a counter right but Baier avoids it with no problem. Baier seems to have got his legs back now. Puller closes the distance and clinches. A short right from Puller on the inside. Puller tries to throw a body punch but Baier avoids it by throwing Puller back against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puller breaks from the clinch.
Baier has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Puller feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Baier sprawling to the canvas! Baier rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Puller finish him?!
Puller throws the left hand but Baier avoids the punch easily. Puller slaps away a takedown attempt from Baier, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lewis Burwell Puller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baier connects with a single shot there. Baier throws a lazy right hand but Puller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Baier throws a lazy uppercut
and Puller scores with a counter punch that sends Baier to the canvas! Puller smells blood - he's punishing Baier with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Baier has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lewis Burwell Puller! A very excited looking Lewis Burwell Puller made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
