Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cristian Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Peixoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peixoto has chosen Nirvana - Breed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cristian Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Peixoto! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez tries to clinch but Peixoto is having none of it. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Peixoto, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Peixoto against the cage but Peixoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peixoto tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peixoto to the ground. Peixoto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sanchez drives through with a takedown into guard. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Peixoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peixoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Peixoto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there. Peixoto is pulling down on Sanchez's head to control his posture. Sanchez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peixoto is pulling down on Sanchez's head. It's preventing any offense from Sanchez, at least for the moment. Peixoto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Peixoto stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cristian Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peixoto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Peixoto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Peixoto trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Peixoto stops Sanchez from standing up. Peixoto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peixoto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Peixoto from controlling successfully. Sanchez wants to control but Peixoto passes easily into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to get to full guard but Peixoto has control of the leg. Peixoto stops Sanchez from getting back to his feet.
Peixoto stands up from half guard. Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Peixoto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sanchez's guard now. Peixoto showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. I looks like Peixoto might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Sanchez working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Peixoto. Peixoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Peixoto looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Peixoto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sanchez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Peixoto circles away easily and Peixoto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sanchez's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez striking off his back. Peixoto passes Sanchez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sanchez tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Peixoto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sanchez defending well though. Sanchez trying to control but Peixoto postures up.
Peixoto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Peixoto trying to control the action but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Sanchez gets back to full guard.
Sanchez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Peixoto dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sanchez with a poor takedown and Peixoto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Peixoto slips an elbow through the middle. Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Peixoto is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanchez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Peixoto's back instead. Peixoto just trying to survive but Sanchez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Sanchez has the hooks in. Peixoto is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Peixoto trying to control the action but Sanchez just sinks the hooks in. Sanchez cracks Peixoto with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Peixoto from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Peixoto can't escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sanchez scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Peixoto is looking for a way out. Sanchez avoiding Peixoto 's attempts to control his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is working the ground and pound. Can Peixoto escape? Sanchez working for a choke but Peixoto is defending well. Peixoto trying to control the hands but Sanchez won't let him. Sanchez working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Peixoto is doing well to defend. Sanchez seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Peixoto is forced to tap and this one is over!
