Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Lauzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Police And Thieves - Junior Murvin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Lauzon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Lee! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lauzon shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Lauzon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lauzon shoots in but Lee avoids the takedown attempt easily. A punch combination from Lee misses. Lauzon slips a straight right by Lee. Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lauzon. Frankie Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee lands a jab to Lauzon's midsection. Some wild striking there from Lee.
Lauzon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lauzon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard. Lauzon prevents Lee from getting back to his feet. Lee looking to control.
Lauzon is fighting to break Lee's control of his arms but Lee is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Lauzon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lee tries to bum rush Lauzon with a series of wild strikes but Lauzon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lee throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Left hook, right uppercut from Lee. Lauzon throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee. Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Lauzon. Lauzon fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Lauzon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lauzon darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage. Lee wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Lauzon is breathing heavily. Lee trying to control but Lauzon is working from the bottom. Lauzon pulls Lee in to control the position. Lee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lauzon's guard. Lauzon has a hand on Lee's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lee takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Lauzon is in all sorts of trouble here.

A close round but Frankie Lee will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Lauzon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lee! Lee sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Lee gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee wants to stand and escape but Lauzon is having none of it. Lee wants to improve his position but instead Lauzon has moved into half guard.
Lee tries to get to full guard but Lauzon has control of the leg. Lauzon is pressing down on Lee's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lee is holding on for now. Lauzon blocks the strikes from Lee.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lauzon is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lauzon is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lauzon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lauzon.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Lauzon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A jab from Lee finds it's way through Lauzon's defenses. Lee lands with a nice combination. Lauzon backs away looking to recover.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lee closes the distance and lands a one-two. Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A right-left combo lands from Lee. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lauzon. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Lauzon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee cracks Lauzon with an open hand slap. Lee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lauzon on the side of the head. Frankie Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee scores with a sloppy right hand. Lauzon should have avoided that one. Lee tries to bum rush Lauzon with a series of wild strikes but Lauzon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. That's one minute gone in the round. Lauzon tries to clinch up. Lee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Lauzon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lauzon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.
Lauzon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Lauzon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lauzon dodges the punch combination from Lee.
Lauzon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lauzon shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee moves into range and connects with a jab. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Lauzon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee lands a really nice looking cross but Lauzon seems unphased.

Lauzon is rocked! Lee lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Oh Lauzon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lee lands a nice shot that snaps Lauzon's head back.
Paul Lauzon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Lauzon! He's out on his feet! Lee rushes in and drops Lauzon with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
