Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ratcliffe (ranked 5127 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Halstead (ranked 6442 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Halstead looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Halstead!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratcliffe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Halstead needs to keep his hands up - Ratcliffe had a free shot at his head there.

Halstead gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ratcliffe struggles to land a body shot inside as Halstead controls his hands.

Halstead tightens his grip and picks Ratcliffe up, before dumping him to the ground. Ratcliffe manages to land in guard.

Ratcliffe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Ratcliffe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Halstead doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Halstead manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Halstead got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ratcliffe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Halstead has managed to get both his arms back between Ratcliffe's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ray Halstead showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
