Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Reaves!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaves throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nice defenses there by Takeishi.
Reaves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takeishi was well out of range. Poor timing from Reaves.
Reaves throws a head kick that misses

and Takeishi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Reaves goes for a takedown in the clinch but Takeishi prevents it.
Takeishi cracks Reaves with a nice body shot.
Reaves has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Takeishi after a bit of a struggle.
Takeishi scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Takeishi gets through Reaves's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Reaves changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Takeishi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mitsugu Takeishi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Reaves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takeishi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reaves looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Takeishi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Takeishi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reaves can do to turn this around?
Takeishi lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Takeishi drops Reaves onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Reaves is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


That has opened up Brian Reaves's cut even more.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takeishi lands a shoulder strike.

Takeishi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Reaves's elbow.
Takeishi tries to throw a body punch but Reaves avoids it by throwing Takeishi back against the cage.

Reaves is breathing heavily.
Takeishi pushes Reaves against the cage. Takeishi is working some dirty boxing. Takeishi pushes off with a quick right hook! Reaves goes down! Reaves tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Takeishi moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitsugu Takeishi!
Mitsugu Takeishi tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
