Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Bruise (ranked 3557 p4p, 388 weight class) and Dongsu Kim (ranked 3897 p4p, 422 weight class). Dongsu Kim has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dominick Bruise's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Bruise! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dongsu Kim! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruise shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kim eats them both and turns towards Bruise to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kim throws a lazy right hand but Bruise sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bruise tries to counter with a takedown but Kim is quick to defend against it. A left lands for Bruise. Kim misses with a takedown and Bruise counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bruise throws a leg kick which misses Kim's front leg but catches the back leg as Kim tries to avoid it. Bruise scores with a hook. Kim with a poor takedown and Bruise counters with a nice uppercut.
Kim is rocked! Kim looks to clinch and Bruise counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kim is still on wobbly legs! Can Bruise finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice takedown defense from Bruise. No joy for Kim on that attempt. Bruise throws a big counter combination but Kim scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. We've been told by Bruise's head coaches at Westside Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dominick Bruise has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dongsu Kim. Kim tries for a takedown but Bruise circles away easily and Bruise counters with a shoot takedown. Kim fights it but they end up in guard. Kim can't keep his opponent in guard - Bruise advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bruise working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bruise is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kim seems to have recovered his senses. Bruise has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bruise working over Kim with some ground and pound. Kim looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bruise performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kim taking some punishment here, with Bruise in his half guard. Kim is trying to control but Bruise passes into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bruise remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bruise scores with a couple of short elbows. Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bruise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bruise is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Bruise working the ground and pound. Bruise lands a decent elbow from side control. That's three minutes gone in the round. Bruise taking a breather here. Kim can't do much from the bottom here. Kim tries to bench press Bruise off him but Bruise keeps the position. Kim seems a little lost for a moment, as Bruise dominates the positioning. Bruise working the body and head with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bruise in side control, just content to control the action for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bruise landing strikes. Kim throws a lazy body kick and Bruise counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kim tries for a takedown but Bruise circles away easily and Bruise cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dongsu Kim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bruise lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kim. Kim misses with a takedown enabling Bruise to counter with a crisp jab. Dominick Bruise has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dongsu Kim. Bruise thumps Kim with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bruise counters with a straight right hand. Kim throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bruise's waist but Bruise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kim off to one side. Bruise cracks Kim with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kim tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bruise pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kim is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominick Bruise!
