The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Destro steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Penn. That one must have hurt.
Destro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Penn.
Destro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Destro is looking to clinch.
Penn scores with a shot to the body.
Destro fails in his attempt to clinch.
Penn tries to counter with a takedown but Destro is quick to defend against it.
A left lands for Penn.
Penn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Destro looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Penn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Penn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Destro.
Penn closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Destro! Penn dives in looking to finish! Destro is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steel Penn!
