Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Dukes (ranked 24529 p4p, 555 weight class) and Satpal Singh (ranked 7422 p4p, 512 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Dukes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Satpal Singh! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dukes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Singh eats them both and turns towards Dukes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Dukes blocks a head kick by Singh.
Singh rushes Dukes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Singh blocks an elbow strike. Dukes wants to break free but Singh has control.
Dukes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've been told by Dukes's head coaches at The Dam Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A combination from Dukes does no damage. Singh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Singh!
Dukes tries to close the distance and clinch but Singh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Singh is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Dukes closes the distance and pushes Singh back into the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dukes working aggressively here.
Singh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singh with a lazy takedown attempt and Dukes counters with a big right hand! Oh Singh is in trouble here! Dukes follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Dukes!
