Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jao Rua (ranked 1992 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caidan Cartwright (ranked 3823 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tarantula . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Jao Rua! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Caidan Cartwright! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Rua rushes Cartwright and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rua is trying to drag Cartwright to the mat but Cartwright just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rua lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Cartwright manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cartwright keeping moving, preventing Rua from controlling successfully. Rua slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Rua (5) vs (0) Cartwright Cartwright tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rua tries for a kimura but Cartwright is defending well. Rua advances to full mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Rua (7) vs (0) Cartwright Rua trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cartwright tries to hold on but Rua pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cartwright can't escape the position.
Rua looking to control but Cartwright is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cartwright really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Rua tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cartwright is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rua looking for a guillotine from mount but Cartwright is having none of it. Rua tries to control but Cartwright wriggling away. Rua with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cartwright gets back to half guard. Rua trying to mount his opponent but Cartwright defends it. We've been hearing good reports from Rua's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Cartwright looking for submissions off his back. Rua is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Rua is trying to control. Cartwright wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rua is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cartwright is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Cartwright wants to get back to full guard.

Score +3 for passing guard: Rua (10) vs (0) Cartwright Rua has control of Cartwright's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cartwright regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Cartwright tries to improve his position but Rua has taken his back! Rua has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Cartwright tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Rua pushes Cartwright away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
