Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chico Giovanni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thugs kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stevie Walker has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a series of wild punches.

Giovanni tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Walker tries to bum rush Giovanni with a series of wild strikes but Giovanni uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Walker looks to land a combination but Giovanni avoids it well.

Giovanni has Walker up against the cage in a clinch.
Walker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Giovanni has him pressed against the cage.
Giovanni tries to land a knee to the head but Walker blocks with his arms.
Walker is looking to control Giovanni's arms but Giovanni gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walker has his back to the cage.

Walker gets caught flat footed, as Giovanni shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Walker has Giovanni pulled in close to control his posture.
Giovanni throws a strike but Walker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Walker wants to stand and escape but instead Giovanni has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Giovanni stands and throws Walker's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Giovanni cracks Walker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Walker is bucking up trying to escape but Giovanni cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Giovanni cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Giovanni connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Giovanni has hold of Walker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Walker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Walker's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Walker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Giovanni thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Walker is looking to improve his position but Giovanni isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Giovanni throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Giovanni misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Giovanni is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Walker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Walker!

Giovanni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Walker throws a low kick but Giovanni avoids it.
Giovanni fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walker cracks the inside of Giovanni's front leg.

Stevie Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Walker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Giovanni doesn't seem phased though.
Walker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Walker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Giovanni stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
