Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bashaad Al Hammad (ranked 21041 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galdra Kiddi (ranked 3150 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bashaad Al Hammad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 22 - 4, fighting out of Amsterdam, Galdra Kiddi! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiddi digs a good body shot into Al Hammad's ribs. Al Hammad takes one on the button. Al Hammad takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Al Hammad looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kiddi! Kiddi is trying to control Al Hammad's posture but Al Hammad avoids it. Kiddi tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kiddi struggling a bit here. Al Hammad has control of an arm but Kiddi manages to advance to Al Hammad's back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiddi keeps control of the position as Al Hammad tries to break free.

Kiddi is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Al Hammad. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Kiddi throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Kiddi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kiddi is riding his opponent, not letting Al Hammad buck him off. Kiddi is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Kiddi tries to keep control of the position but Al Hammad is staying busy. Al Hammad is looking for a way out. Kiddi somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Al Hammad defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kiddi's arms. Kiddi missing with strikes from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiddi looking for the choke from the back. Kiddi is hanging on to Al Hammad's back as he tries to escape.

Galdra Kiddi dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kiddi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Al Hammad has time to react. Al Hammad fails to land the takedown. A solid body kick from Kiddi. Al Hammad shoots in for a double leg but Kiddi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Al Hammad gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Al Hammad looks for a takedown but Kiddi sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bashaad Al Hammad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Al Hammad takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kiddi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Al Hammad gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kiddi to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kiddi with a flurry of punches that miss. Kiddi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiddi is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Hammad has wrist control. Kiddi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Al Hammad controls Kiddi momentarily but Kiddi frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Al Hammad avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kiddi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Al Hammad works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kiddi throws a strike but Al Hammad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Al Hammad trying to control but Kiddi is working from the bottom. Al Hammad stopping the sweep attempt from Kiddi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kiddi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Al Hammad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Al Hammad has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kiddi is looking for a triangle but Al Hammad pushes his legs off easily.

Al Hammad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kiddi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Al Hammad trying to control the position from guard on top but Kiddi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiddi keeping full guard, as Al Hammad tries to pass. Kiddi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kiddi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kiddi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kiddi wants to sweep here but Al Hammad controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kiddi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Al Hammad manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kiddi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kiddi works over Al Hammad with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Galdra Kiddi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Kiddi connects with a body shot that sends Al Hammad's belly button to the back. Al Hammad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Al Hammad fails with the takedown and Kiddi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Al Hammad! Kiddi working the ground and pound from side control. Kiddi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kiddi working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiddi is putting a hurting on Al Hammad here, landing some big shots from side control. Kiddi is looking to take a break and control but Al Hammad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Al Hammad struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiddi landing a few strikes. Kiddi misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kiddi advances nicely into full mount. Kiddi putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
It looks like Bashaad Al Hammad has been cut. Al Hammad wants to control but Kiddi is having none of it. Kiddi scoring with strikes but Al Hammad is staying in there. Al Hammad taking shots to the head.
Al Hammad is rocked! Al Hammad is desperately trying to improve his position but Kiddi has a good base and remains in mount. Galdra Kiddi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Oh Al Hammad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kiddi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Let's hope that Kiddi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Al Hammad seems to have got his legs back now. Al Hammad is bucking up trying to escape but Kiddi cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kiddi content just to control the position here. Al Hammad really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kiddi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiddi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Kiddi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kiddi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bashaad Al Hammad's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Kiddi looking to control and managing it successfully. More stalling from Kiddi. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Galdra Kiddi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kiddi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
