Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Hirsch (ranked 1403 p4p, 188 weight class) and Chief Foot (ranked 3040 p4p, 332 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Foot!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirsch shoots in and drives through. Foot sprawls well.

Foot clinches.
Foot throws a punch but it's blocked by Hirsch.

Hirsch has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Foot is trying to keep an underhook but Hirsch manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Foot tries to kick Hirsch off but Hirsch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Foot felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hirsch is working for a kimura but Foot is defending it quite comfortably.
Foot pushes Hirsch off looking to stand but Hirsch dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foot is trying to escape back to his feet but Hirsch uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Foot wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ground and pound from Hirsch seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Hirsch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Foot is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Foot takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hirsch cracks Foot with a big right hand but Foot just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Foot tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Hirsch is landing with some decent strikes but Foot is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Chief Foot has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hirsch lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hirsch tries to control but Foot wriggling away.

Hirsch is working for a guillotine from mount but Foot frees his head quite easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Foot is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Chief Foot's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chief Foot's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
