The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrozuli is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in O'Phoenix's half guard. Petrozuli seems to be looking for submissions.
Petrozuli is trying to control. O'Phoenix wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Petrozuli is looking for a kimura here.
Petrozuli seems to be working for a kimura but O'Phoenix defends the submission attempt. Petrozuli is looking to take a break and control but O'Phoenix is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O'Phoenix trying to control but Petrozuli postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrozuli is trying to work for a kimura but O'Phoenix is defending well.

O'Phoenix tries to get to full guard but Petrozuli has control of the leg. Well, if Petrozuli is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Petrozuli frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Petrozuli tries to control but O'Phoenix wriggling away. O'Phoenix keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petrozuli is working for a guillotine from mount but O'Phoenix frees his head quite easily.
Petrozuli prevents O'Phoenix from getting the reversal. O'Phoenix could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

O'Phoenix is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at DIAMOND [IS] UNBREAKABLE, so we'll see if he gets out of it. O'Phoenix is in all sorts of trouble here.
O'Phoenix is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Petrozuli forces the positional change into back control.
