Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thom Tharrier (ranked 6881 p4p, 177 weight class) and Tommy Du Mahss (ranked 5757 p4p, 147 weight class). Tommy Du Mahss will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Mahss tries to bum rush Tharrier with a series of wild strikes but Tharrier uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thom Tharrier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Du Mahss throws a hook but Tharrier blocks it.
Du Mahss is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Du Mahss misses the target.
Tharrier lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Du Mahss looks to land a combination but Tharrier avoids it well.
A counter left hand to the body from Tharrier misses its target.

Tharrier wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tharrier is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Du Mahss.

Tharrier appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tharrier lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Du Mahss looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Tharrier looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Du Mahss throws a lazy right hand but Tharrier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tharrier misses with an uppercut. Du Mahss saw that one coming.

and Du Mahss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Du Mahss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tharrier takes a swing at Du Mahss's ribcage but misses.
Du Mahss lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Du Mahss scores with a punch to the head.
Tharrier catches Du Mahss with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

The crowd cheers as Du Mahss lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tharrier doesn't seem phased though.
Tharrier buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tharrier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Du Mahss throws out the jab.

Du Mahss is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tharrier had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Tharrier takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Tharrier definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A left and a right from Tharrier both land. Nice combination.
That has opened up Tommy Du Mahss's cut even more.
Tharrier pounces like a tiger and cracks Du Mahss with a vicious hook! Du Mahss is down but not out! Tharrier follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
