PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DeShawn Jackson (ranked 399 p4p, 54 weight class) and Charles Ng (ranked 484 p4p, 58 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Green Card. Ng has chosen Wedlock - I'm The Fuck You Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Charles Ng is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeShawn Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Charles Ng!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a lazy right hand but Ng sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ng appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ng with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jackson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ng can pounce on him.
Ng takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Ng displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab.

Ng lands a leg kick that knocks Jackson off balance momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ng throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ng sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ng lands with a nice body punch.
Jackson moves away from the strike by Ng.
Ng takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ng keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ng defends it well.

Jackson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ng is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ng's guard.

Jackson is looking for a kimura here.

Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ng has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jackson prevents Ng from improving his position.
Jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Ng is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looked like Jackson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ng.

I would just about give that final round to Charles Ng.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
