Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Butler (ranked 2016 p4p, 255 weight class) and Adrian Wolf (ranked 2035 p4p, 260 weight class). Wolf comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shock The System kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Adrian Wolf looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Butler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adrian Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler moves to clinch but Wolf breaks away
and Wolf counters with a straight right hand.
Butler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Butler has his takedown stuffed
and Wolf counters with a nice uppercut.
Wolf has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Butler is landing a low percentage of strikes.

enabling Wolf to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Butler takes the fight into the clinch.

Wolf manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Butler forces Wolf back against the cage and clinches.
Wolf swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Butler has Wolf pressed against the cage, preventing Wolf from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wolf trying to control the position but instead, Butler has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wolf into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolf throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Butlers head.

Wolf escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Butler moves into the clinch successfully.
Butler tries for a takedown but Wolf manages to get underhooks.
Wolf lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Wolf swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wolf goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Butler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wolf prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wolf wants to break the clinch but can't.

Butler has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wolf clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Butler struggling to keep hold of the position.

Wolf is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Butler off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wolf has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Butler.
Butler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Butler is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Butler gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Butler gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Butler apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Wolf feints and then cracks Butler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Butler down.

Butler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Butler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wolf!
Butler fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The defeated Adrian Wolf had this to say: 'Losing can be a habit just like winning. But I gonna make sure that I will be the winner next time and be the best in the world. And I gonna shock the system for sure because I am undisputed.'.
