Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borat Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Boudewijn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boudewijn's choice of entrance music: The Streets - Blinded by the Lights. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Xander Boudewijn was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Xander Boudewijn!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boudewijn jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Obama fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boudewijn throws a sloppy head kick and Obama moves out of range easily.
Obama tries to clinch but Boudewijn is having none of it.
Obama tries for a takedown but Boudewijn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Obama uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boudewijn.
Boudewijn misses with a two punch combination.
Obama misses the jab.
Obama shoots in but Boudewijn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Obama moves out of range of the leg kick from Boudewijn.
Obama takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Obama throws a wild body kick that Boudewijn sees coming a mile off.
Obama fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borat Obama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boudewijn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Obama sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Borat Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boudewijn throws out the jab.

Obama on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Obama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boudewijn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boudewijn missing with a left hand there. Obama was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Obama lands a nice shot to the body.
Obama looks for a takedown but Boudewijn sprawls well.
Good leg kick by Boudewijn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Obama throws a jab but it's blocked by Boudewijn.
Obama walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Boudewijn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Boudewijn cracks Obama with an open hand slap.
Boudewijn slips under a jab from Obama.
Boudewijn lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Obama sprawling to the canvas. Boudewijn follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Obama hang on?
Obama tries to get to full guard but Boudewijn has control of the leg.
Boudewijn perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Boudewijn stands up out of the half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Obama shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boudewijn as he jumps to the side.
Boudewijn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boudewijn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boudewijn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Obama ducks under a wild hook from Boudewijn.
Obama throws a head kick that misses.
Boudewijn lands with a straight right. Obama didn't see that one coming.
Boudewijn misses with a hook.
Obama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boudewijn pinned against the cage. Boudewijn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boudewijn throws the left hand but Obama avoids the punch easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Boudewijn counters with a thumping low kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Obama. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Boudewijn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Obama. That did some damage!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Borat Obama has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boudewijn is controlling the pace.
Obama wants to get back to his feet.

Boudewijn stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Obama to get to his feet.
Obama takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Boudewijn lands the left hand.
Boudewijn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Obama.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boudewijn cracks Obama with an open hand slap.

Obama has managed to clinch.
Obama is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boudewijn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

and Boudewijn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boudewijn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Obama looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Boudewijn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boudewijn lands a big uppercut and Obama crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Obama looks OK. Boudewijn waves Obama back to his feet!


Obama is rocked!
Xander Boudewijn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Boudewijn throws a shot from downtown. Obama moves away and avoids it.

Obama ducks straight into an uppercut from Boudewijn and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Obama maanges to regain guard straight away.
Oh Obama is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Obama can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boudewijn controls the pace.

Boudewijn gets to his feet - Obama follows without any prompting.
Obama seems to have got his legs back now.
Obama has his takedown stuffed
and Boudewijn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Boudewijn. No joy for Obama on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borat Obama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boudewijn connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Boudewijn feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Obama crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
