The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonni misses with a looping right.
Freeman tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sonni manages to circle out of the way.
Freeman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sonni avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice jab there from Sonni.
Donk. Sonni catches Freeman right on the button with a cross.
Freeman shoots in for a takedown but Sonni shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Freeman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freeman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sonni defends it nicely.
Yka Sonni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonni displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Freeman.
