Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Sionis (ranked 1559 p4p, 193 weight class) and Simon Vale (ranked 1462 p4p, 188 weight class). Vale is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Motorhead-Iron Fist . Roman Sionis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Simon Vale's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Sionis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Vale! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sionis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vale. Sionis avoids a punch combination nicely.
It looked like Sionis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vale misses with a lunging right hand
and Sionis counters with a lovely shot to the body. Vale finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Vale throws a chopping leg kick but Sionis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Vale swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sionis tries for a takedown but Vale sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vale misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sionis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vale but Vale pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vale throws out a loose jab but Sionis uses good head movement to avoid it. Vale catches Sionis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Roman Sionis has been cut. Vale misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Vale misses. Sionis is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Vale. Sionis slips under a jab from Vale. Sionis slips under a jab. Vale has managed to clinch.
Sionis has Vale pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vale manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Sionis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sionis missing with knees to the body.
Vale lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Vale is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Vale breaks the clinch.
Vale with a hook. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vale has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Vale misses with a double jab.
Vale bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sionis's head backwards. Sionis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vale counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vale lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sionis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Simon Vale has been cut. A slow jab from Vale misses its intended target. As Vale looks to move away, Sionis throws a big counter combo but Vale just gets out of the way. Vale thows a left - swing and a miss! Vale throws a shot from downtown. Sionis moves away and avoids it. Vale scores with a jab. Sionis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Roman Sionis's cut is getting worse. Sionis rushes Vale and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sionis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Donk. Vale catches Sionis right on the button with a cross. Vale feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sionis sprawling to the canvas! Sionis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vale finish him?!
Sionis is rocked! Sionis walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Vale! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simon Vale! A less than humble Simon Vale misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
