Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Torreira (ranked 4009 p4p, 300 weight class) and Sirus Hughes (ranked 6953 p4p, 371 weight class). Hughes has chosen Devil "Shinedown" as his entrance music. Sirus Hughes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torreira lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch but Torreira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Torreira fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hughes just manages to avoid it.

It looks like Torreira has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Hughes's coach down at Fisticuffs was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hughes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Torreira throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hughes escapes and throws Torreira's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hughes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Hughes shoots in and bounces Torreira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Torreira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hughes wanted to stand there but Torreira had control of the position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Torreira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
