Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Trash Fun (ranked 3458 p4p, 379 weight class) and Ivar Viking (ranked 3453 p4p, 371 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Trash Fun! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Ivar Viking! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Viking instigates a clinch. Viking gets control of Fun's arms and successfully pulls guard. Viking will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fun not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Viking looking for a sweep. Not yet Viking, not yet. Viking trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Viking swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fun is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fun is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Viking won't allow Fun to pass to mount. Viking tries to get to full guard but Fun has control of the leg.

Viking is staying active underneath Fun, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fun prevents Viking from improving his position. Fun is looking for a kimura but Viking is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fun to get the leverage. Viking is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fun pulls his head out easily. Viking trying to hold on to Fun's head to control him but Fun postures up.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Fun is stalling here. Viking is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Fun seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Viking has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Fun gets full guard. Viking trying to control the position from guard on top but Fun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fun has his foot on Viking's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Viking works his way back into a safe position though. Viking is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Fun trying to control the position.

Fun is staying active underneath Viking, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Viking is working for an americana but Fun has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Viking was thinking about the submission. Fun keeping moving, preventing Viking from controlling successfully. Viking is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Viking got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fun has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Viking has managed to get both his arms back between Fun's legs - danger averted. Viking trying to control but Fun is working from the bottom. Viking is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fun keeping full guard, as Viking tries to pass. Fun trying to control the position.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Viking is fighting to break Fun's control of his arms but Fun is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Viking is pushing down on Fun's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fun is fighting to maintain full guard but Viking has managed to sneak the leg through. Viking is trying to control the action in half guard but Fun is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Viking is looking for a kimura here.

Fun is looking to regain half guard here but Viking keeps moving and retains side control. Viking is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fun is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
