Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Gustav Rehrl (ranked 3449 p4p, 389 weight class) and Trash Walker (ranked 3457 p4p, 374 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Gustav Rehrl! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Trash Walker! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Horrible takedown attempt by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Rehrl, which made it look bad. Rehrl is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Walker. Rehrl misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rehrl shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side. Rehrl forces Walker back against the cage and clinches. Walker tries to pull guard but Rehrl forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rehrl walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Gustav Rehrl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trash Walker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker gets tackled into the cage by Rehrl. Rehrl maintains the clinch. Rehrl jumps guard and drags Walker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rehrl is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rehrl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rehrl holds on and takes a little breather. Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walker trying to control but Rehrl is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rehrl looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there. Rehrl is trying to keep Walker in close.
Walker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Rehrl (0) vs (3) Walker The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker tries to move to mount but Rehrl blocks the move with his legs. Rehrl gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rehrl is looking to control Walker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rehrl avoid being mounted? Rehrl tries to roll over but Walker keeps him under control. Walker is taking a breather. Rehrl says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rehrl wants to get back to full guard. Rehrl wants to control but Walker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Rehrl looking for submissions off his back. Rehrl is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rehrl looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Walker is working for a kimura but Rehrl is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Walker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rehrl is defending against the submission attempts here by Walker.
