Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyong Li (ranked 6722 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaly Ragozin (ranked 4007 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyong Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitaly Ragozin!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ragozin in particular looking to stall.

Ragozin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Li is not content to let Ragozin control the position.
Li tries to improve position but can't.

Ragozin decides to stand back up. Ragozin steps back and let's Li get back to his feet.
Kyong Li is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ragozin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Li shoots in for a double leg but Ragozin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ragozin wants to counter with a clinch but Li pushes him away.

Ragozin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ragozin tries to land knees in the clinch but Li avoids the damage to the body.
Li tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ragozin just stands there and leans against the cage.
Li is trying to force a seperation but Ragozin has the dominant position.
Ragozin can't get the takedown.
Li wants to get back to striking at distance but Ragozin won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ragozin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Li jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ragozin walks away with a smile on his face. Li gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ragozin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Li to the ground. Ragozin is now in Li's guard.
Li can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ragozin controls the pace.

Li is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Li escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ragozin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ragozin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ragozin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ragozin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ragozin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Li to see if he's OK.
Li takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ragozin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Li.
Li pushes Ragozin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ragozin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Ragozin wants to control but Li is keeping him busy.

You can see the frustration on Li's face as Ragozin controls the position.

Vitaly Ragozin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Li's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Li shoots for a double leg takedown but Ragozin sprawls well. He's pushed Li's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Li enables Ragozin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Li manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Li has his foot on Ragozin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ragozin works his way back into a safe position though.

Let's hope that Ragozin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ragozin has Li pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ragozin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Li tumbling to the mat - Ragozin dives into Li's guard.

Ragozin drops back looking for a leg! Li is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Li manages to kick Ragozin off! Ragozin jumps back into Li's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ragozin is working Li over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Well Ragozin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
