Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio ST (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Shilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ST has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Fabio ST has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shilt wants to clinch.
ST is breathing heavily.

ST has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shilt is proving hard to escape from.

ST jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shilt walks away with a smile on his face. ST gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

ST tries for a takedown but Shilt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

ST feints and as Shilt raises his hands in defense, ST changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

ST pushing down on Shilt's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

ST wants to work for an arm triangle but Shilt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
ST tries to stand and escape but Shilt is controlling the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Fabio ST will probably get the nod.

Shilt is looking to clinch but ST is avoiding it.
Shilt lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends ST sprawling to the canvas. Shilt follows him down, looking for the kill. Can ST hang on?

It looks like Fabio ST has been cut.
Shilt prevents ST from standing back up.
ST is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
ST is trying to maintain the position but Shilt is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shilt is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shilt connects with a nice short shot to ST's temple.
Shilt is tying to control. ST wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Shilt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Shilt content to control rather than advance.
ST is looking to get back to is feet but Shilt passes into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shilt is looking to take a break and control but ST is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Shilt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused ST some visible discomfort.

ST is looking to get back to his feet here but Shilt is keeping cool and he's managed to take ST's back.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Shilt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on ST's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The referee is taking a good look at ST as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Shilt!

A lull in the action here.
Shilt connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for ST to escape the position.
ST controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

ST is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Shilt.

Shilt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Shilt looking to sit in guard and control but ST gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Shilt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

ST has gone for a leg lock! Shilt slips out almost immediately though and dives into ST's guard.
ST has a closed guard, preventing Shilt from standing up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fabio ST.
I think ST has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
