Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seamus Coleman (ranked 2985 p4p, 323 weight class) and Hiro Takahashi (ranked 3133 p4p, 341 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seamus Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hiro Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Takahashi can't get the takedown.
Coleman is trying to force a seperation but Takahashi has the dominant position. Takahashi is trying to drag Coleman to the mat but Coleman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Takahashi tightens his grip and picks Coleman up, before dumping him to the ground. Coleman manages to land in guard. Takahashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Takahashi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takahashi on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takahashi being controlled here momentarily. Coleman wants to stand but Takahashi is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi sitting in guard, not really doing much. Coleman has Takahashi pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Takahashi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Coleman throws a chopping leg kick but Takahashi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Coleman sets himself, and Takahashi steps forward looking for the clinch! Coleman avoids it this time. The fight stays on the outside here - Takahashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Coleman throws out a leg kick but Takahashi moves out of range and Coleman only half commits. Coleman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Takahashi to score an easy takedown into full guard. Coleman has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Takahashi being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position. Coleman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Coleman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Coleman is pulling down on Takahashi's head to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Takahashi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Takahashi with a lazy takedown attempt and Coleman counters with a series of strikes. Takahashi will be more careful next time no doubt. Seamus Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Takahashi. Takahashi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Coleman's half guard. Coleman is trying to stand up here but Takahashi is controlling him well. Takahashi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Coleman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takahashi. Takahashi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Coleman tries to get to full guard but Takahashi has control of the leg.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coleman wants to control but Takahashi is keeping busy and won't allow it. Coleman is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Takahashi tries to pass to full mount but Coleman defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takahashi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Takahashi wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takahashi controls the position. Coleman can't do much from the bottom here. Hiro Takahashi has got the better of the ground game so far. Takahashi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Coleman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takahashi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Takahashi tries to move to mount but Coleman blocks the move with his legs. Takahashi working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman stops Takahashi from passing to mount. Coleman is looking for a sweep. Coleman tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Takahashi presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Coleman working to try and regain half guard.
Coleman wants to hold on but Takahashi pushes him away. Takahashi controlling the pace for now. Coleman tries to hold on but Takahashi postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Takahashi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Coleman blocking the ground and pound. Takahashi misses with a head shot. Takahashi has hold of Coleman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Coleman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Takahashi wants to finish this one by submission but Coleman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Takahashi. Coleman tries to hold on but Takahashi pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman regains half guard. Coleman is looking to get back to full guard here but Takahashi has managed to pass to side control instead. Takahashi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Takahashi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Coleman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Coleman is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Coleman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Takahashi has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Coleman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Takahashi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coleman is defending against the submission attempts here by Takahashi.
Takahashi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiro Takahashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Coleman throws out a leg kick but Takahashi moves out of range and Coleman only half commits. Takahashi doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Coleman throws a leg kick that misses. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Coleman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Takahashi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Takahashi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Coleman attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Coleman fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Takahashi is out of range. Takahashi takes the fight into the clinch. Coleman tries to break free but Takahashi pushes him back against the cage. Takahashi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Coleman prevents it.
Takahashi looking to slow down the pace here. Coleman is pushing Takahashi up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman manages to break the clinch.
Coleman throws a leg kick but Takahashi sees it coming and checks it nicely. Coleman motions for Takahashi to come forward. Coleman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Coleman throws a leg kick so Takahashi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Takahashi postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Takahashi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Takahashi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Coleman wants to control but Takahashi passes easily into half guard.
Takahashi is keen to just control but Coleman is a slippery customer. Coleman trying to hold on to Takahashi's head to control him but Takahashi postures up.
Takahashi tries to pass to full mount but Coleman defends it. Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takahashi is working away from the top position though. Takahashi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Takahashi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Takahashi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coleman desperately trying to maintain half guard. Coleman is defending against the submission attempts here by Takahashi.
Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takahashi is working away from the top position though. Coleman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman pushes Takahashi off looking to stand but Takahashi dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Coleman motions for Takahashi to come forward. Coleman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Coleman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Coleman misses with a low kick. Seamus Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahashi darts in looking for a takedown but Coleman gets double underhooks and turns Takahashi into the cage. Coleman misses with a low kick. Coleman motions for Takahashi to come forward. Coleman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Takahashi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Takahashi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Coleman is looking to stand back up but Takahashi counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Coleman. Coleman tries to roll over but Takahashi keeps him under control. Takahashi slows the pace down in half guard. Coleman is not content to let Takahashi control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takahashi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Takahashi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Takahashi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Takahashi slips a nice elbow through Coleman's hands, connecting with Coleman's forehead. Coleman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Takahashi. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Takahashi passes to side control. Coleman is looking to regain half guard here but Takahashi keeps moving and retains side control. Seamus Coleman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coleman gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that's the end of the fight! Hiro Takahashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Takahashi winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
