The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hicks tries to roll over but Lesnar keeps him under control.
Lesnar drops an elbow to the side of Hicks's head.

Lesnar is looking for a kimura here.
Lesnar trying to control the action but Hicks is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hicks is trying to get back to full guard.
Hicks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lesnar tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hicks controls his leg.
Hicks really is a fat lump.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hicks manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Hicks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lesnar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hicks drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lesnar sprawls and moves away.

Hicks gets caught napping as Lesnar dives in and scores a takedown. Hicks manages to retain guard.

Lesnar throws a sloppy strike and Hicks has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Lesnar is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Hicks!
