Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Furgeson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Todd Rodd!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furgeson slips under a jab from Rodd.
Furgeson is looking to counter punch.
Rodd looks to throw the jab but Furgeson is out of range.
Furgeson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rodd manages to circle out of the way.
Rodd misses the body punch
enabling Furgeson to counter with a crisp jab.
Rodd throws a looping overhand right but Furgeson ducks down to avoid it.
Furgeson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rodd manages to avoid it.
Rodd swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rodd rushes Furgeson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Furgeson blocking some punches.
Rodd working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Rodd lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rodd works on Furgeson's body with a couple of short punches.
Furgeson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rodd creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rodd works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Rodd lands a shoulder strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Furgeson throws a punch but it's blocked by Rodd.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rodd.
Furgeson is rocked!
A nice left hand lands by Rodd.
Oh Furgeson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Furgeson misses with a punch to the body.
Furgeson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rodd pushes Furgeson against the cage. Rodd is working some dirty boxing. Rodd pushes off with a quick right hook! Furgeson goes down! Furgeson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rodd moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Todd Rodd!
A pretty intense looking Todd Rodd took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
